I never understood how someone could sit through 2 hours of watching some dancers prancing around on ice, dressed as some make-belief fantasy characters and acting ridiculously happy (or rather should I say, high). That was, until I brought the kiddos to
Disney on Ice for the first time in 2014.
|
It was the first time the kiddos watched the live performance. |
There were no fidgeting, no fighting and no quarrels throughout the show as the kiddos indulged in the performance and happily pointed out the various characters they were so familiar with. It was pure magic how they were so into the show. I believe they even held back the urge to go to the toilet until the intervals!
|
They can't wait for the show to start and were really glued to their seats throughout! |
And now, Disney on Ice is back! And it will be an even greater event because besides the classics like Beauty and The Beast or The Little Mermaid, the kiddos are going to see Elsa and Anna from Disney’s Frozen in the flesh, working their magic on ice too! And the theme for this year is aptly named
Magical Ice Festival.
|
The famous sisters are gonna wow the kiddos! |
Here are some Disney On Ice trivial for you –
- The show has already been around for 35 years, and has been to 75 countries over 6 continents!
- It takes between 12-15 hours to set up one Disney On Ice show, but only 4 hours to tear it down.
- 100 persons work on 180 costumes, with one performer changing up to 8 outfits at any one show.

My kiddos love singing along to "Under The Sea" with Sebastian! |
My kiddos are really lucky to be able to watch the show again, especially so now that they can catch their favourite ice princess in action too. And we are also happy to be able to bring another family along for the ice-skating extravaganza! All you need to do is to complete the steps in the following raffle and keep your fingers crossed to win a family set of 4 weekend tickets (worth $180, with chance of upgrade) to the show!
