The Lion King

[Media Invite]

We were sitting right beside the walkway and the usher had to go round informing everyone to keep clear of the walkway because the cast will be making their entrance from both sides. With that, we were pretty prepped to expect action but when the cast finally make their grand entrance, I could still hear gasps and wows from all over. Audiences young and old were grinning and totally in awe of the cast in their animal puppetries that ranged in size from a hand puppet to even that of an elephant!

We only managed to catch The Lion King musical this time round, after having missed it 7 years back, and we were glad we did! It opened my eyes to the many different ways the animals can be represented by the performers. The lions and their masks were surely impressive, but I definitely had my eyes on the regal cheetah amongst the horde too! The powerful live singing and beautiful orchestral music definitely made it a musical well worth watching! I am still pretty amazed at how the various scenes in the animated movie were brought to live on stage. Many touching scenes too...

The family had such an enjoyable time and the kiddos were still breaking into songs as we made our way home! Thank you for having us Sliding Doors Entertainment! For the rest of you still sitting on the fence, I say go catch it before the musical ends its run on 23 Sep 2018!
