[Review]
I had been trying my best to keep my kiddos away from electronic screens, and restricting their usage only during the school holidays. But these days, even primary school students need access to various e-learning platforms as required by their schools. So what to do?

Well our old laptop is still working relatively okay despite being in use for donkey years and I guess I am also used to the puny screen lor. I never knew what I have been missing, and how nice webpages and video streaming can really look till now, and that brings us to the 24" BenQ LCD monitor we reviewed recently. Let me share a few points from an ordinary consumer point of view.
Ease of Fixing
It was a breeze from unboxing, fixing the monitor onto the stand, powering it up with the power cable, to connecting it to the laptop using the HDMI cable included. There was no need to even refer to the instructions.
Versatility
We simply love how we can turn the monitor and tilt it to the angle required with ease! We all know how sometimes light reflection can be such an irritant so having the ability to shift and tilt to the correct angle is awesome. Louie would obviously require a lower screen compared to Leroy, and adjusting the height for the different kids was easy peasy too! Can even turn it into portrait mode, but we are used to landscape already la...

Eye-care Technology
The following are really the selling points of this monitor that makes it so worthwhile to get for the kiddos.
Brightness Intelligence Technology(BI Tech) - How often do you adjust the brightness of your display? Well I don't and I will usually just leave it on the brightest! I end up with eyes fatigue often but with this monitor, it automatically adjusts the brightness according to the ambient light! How convenient!
Low Blue Light Technology - When I made my glasses, I was introduced to special lenses that filtered out the harmful blue light emitted from monitors that can impact sleep. However the kiddos do not wear glasses leh! So reducing the blue light from source is the best!
No ugly flickering in the photo taken of the screen! |
Flicker-Free Technology - Have you ever taken a photograph of your computer monitor just so to capture a quick screenshot on your mobile to send to someone only to realize how fuzzy the photo looked? You may not notice the flickering of the convention screens, but it can cause serious eye fatigue in the long run, unlike this BenQ monitor!
I would recommend the monitor for any laptop users for a much improved viewing experience and this would make great replacement monitor for any parents who wants to protect the eyes of their littles ones as much as possible with the eye-care technology!
Now Leroy can complete his e-learning assignment while we can monitor from afar without needing to quint our eyes! |
